Graduate Life Fellows

Each year the Center for Graduate Life & Learning selects eight graduate students to serve as liaisons to their peers across campus. The Graduate Life Fellows (GLFs) work to discover new ways to support graduate student success. They then suggest and help to create and execute programming. Their input and unique ability to provide the graduate student perspective is invaluable. The GLFs also build awareness of CGLL workshops, programs, courses, and initiatives through word-of-mouth, social media, and visits to graduate classes and organizations.

The GLFs are leaders with the opportunity to impact graduate education at Charlotte, and through this Fellowship they obtain valuable professional development training. GLFs receive a $6,000 award (divided into 2 payments) for the academic year.

Eligibility requirements

GLFs must:

  • Be full-time students living in the Charlotte area during the academic year of their term
  • Have a GPA of at least 3.0 and be in good standing
  • Not have served as a GLF during a prior year

International students and students who hold an assistantship are welcome to apply!
