Weekend Write
The GPWC writing tutors host a Weekend Write every other Saturday via Zoom from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Formatting and Submitting Your Thesis or Dissertation
Michelle Hypki facilitates these workshops twice monthly via Zoom. Dates and times vary, so check the events calendar for more details.
WRITING GROUPS
The GPWC is excited to host four writing groups during the Spring 2024 semester. During each group meeting, members will participate in setting goals, learn about multiple writing topics (e.g., revision strategies and emotional well-being in academic writing), and engage in a dedicated writing time with their peers. These groups are a great opportunity to meet other scholars in various concentrations, strengthen your academic writing skills, and build healthy writing habits.
Please only register for one writing group to ensure that as many students as possible can benefit from this support.
Multilingual Writing Group (MWG)
The MWG is tailored to graduate students who speak English as a second, third, or fourth+ language. The MWG is led by Candice Dsouza and Caitlin BrabbleRose, Doctoral Writing Fellows in the GPWC.
Dissertation Writing Group
A group that helps dissertation writers to form or refine productive writing habits, break isolation, and build community, and take advantage of structured writing time. Open to doctoral students who are actively writing dissertations and can commit to attending each 3-hour session over an 8 week period. Facilitated by Dr. Lisa Russell-Pinson, Assistant Teaching Professor.
Postdoc Writing Group
This group is led by Dr. Lisa Russell-Pinson.
