Leah Bourque

Leah is a sixth-year PhD student in the Organizational Science program. In 2023, she received her terminal master’s at UNC Charlotte, and in 2020, she received her bachelor’s in psychology at Clemson University. Leah currently researches issues in working-class jobs (e.g., care work, gig work), leadership, well-being and health at work, and racial inequity in higher education. She has a passion for teaching and is applying for tenure-track management positions this year. In her free time, she does hot yoga, pickleball and tennis, hikes, and hangs out with friends and her orange tabby cat. Living in Plaza Midwood, she enjoys trying craft beer and checking out new coffee shops in Charlotte.
